P.O’B. MONTGOMERY TO BUILD ROSS DRESS FOR LESS BROWNSVILLE LOCATION

Dallas, TX: Dallas-based P. O'B. Montgomery & Company has announced that they have closed on the property and commenced construction on a Build to Suit location for Ross Dress for Less in Brownsville, Texas. The store, to be located at 315 E. 12th Street in Brownsville, will be 32,800 square feet in size, and will be created in a totally renovated building in Downtown Brownsville. The Ross Dress for Less store will take the entire first floor of the two-story structure.

The store will be located at one of historic downtown Brownsville’s key locations, adjacent to both motorist and pedestrian interchange bridges with Mexico – approximately 500 feet from the U.S./Mexico border. The agreement was coordinated by P.O’B. Montgomery & Company and by Jim Tapp of the Tapp Company for Ross Dress for Less.

According to P.O’B. Montgomery Project Manager, Brent Jackson, “This project is a definite asset in the revitalization of Downtown Historic Brownsville. We are working diligently to maintain the historic character of the area, and the building will retain many of the architectural details that make this area unique.” Mr. Jackson added, “This location should be excellent for Ross, with a powerful base of local customers combined with strong cross-border traffic.” Construction is scheduled for completion in January, 2008, with Ross expected to take occupancy in February. Construction financing for the project is being provided by Compass Bank.
